New Heidenau Pitbike/Scooter racing tyres from 12/2019
From 12/2019 new racing tyres will be available in the dimensions 100/90-12 and 120/80-12 in 2 compounds each.
A distinction is made between a soft (SRS2) and a medium (SRM2) compound.
These two compounds have been specially developed for racing on pitbikes and scooters. The tyres have been extensively tested, further developed and optimised for racing use over the last year. Numerous successes have already been achieved.
The completely redesigned tyres have a carcass that has been specially weight-optimised for racing use, but which can still withstand the high stresses and strains of the race track. The new construction provides excellent feedback, resulting in a good-natured limit range. Due to the new tyre geometry, extremely high stability at very steep lean angles is still possible.
The tread pattern used is the K80SR, which is well known from road use. The use of special compound components means that both variants heat up very quickly during driving so that the use of electric blankets is no longer necessary. In addition, the tread offers a gain in safety if it does rain.
The SRS2 - Soft compound is intended for use in the 0 - 25°C outdoor temperature range. The SRS2 version is also ideally suited for indoor training with pitbikes in the "winter half year".
The SRM2 - Medium mixture is optimized for temperature ranges of approx. 20-35°C.
